Discussion: The Cyber Security Evaluation Program of the Department of Homeland Security’s National Cyber Security Division performs voluntary, capability-based evaluations focused on key cyber security performances. These evaluations account for high variability among operating structures and technological deployments to focus the evaluation and improvement process on governance, management, and operations as well as the practice of cyber security and IT continuity. This presentation will provide the audience with an overview of the evaluative method, called a Cyber Resilience Review, and review lessons-learned and field experiences from the past two years. The audience should come away with an understanding of meaningful evaluation and understand the method applied, the nature of its results, and the focus of improvement activities.
