Howard A. Stern, Ph.D.
Howard is the Director and Chief Information Officer for the City of Pittsburgh where he is responsible for the administration of the City's computer systems and for technological initiatives. He manages a staff of 75 employees and consultants who provide technical support, quality assurance, infrastructure enhancements, and data security and governance.

Howard holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and Public Policy from West Virginia University. He also earned master's degrees in Public Administration and Information Technology from the University of Pittsburgh. Howard is an adjunct professor at Carlow University, where he teaches courses in politics and technology.
