The Central Connecticut Chapter of SIM is comprised of over 100 Senior IT Executives from across Central Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. Our members hail from widely differing industries, skill sets and corporate sizes. Approximately 80% of our members are practicing senior technologists (CIOs, Directors of IT, etc.) and 20% are from supporting organizations.
The purpose of our Chapter is to:
- Provide networking opportunities across the region for Senior IT Executives to share best practices, plans and issues with other Senior IT Executives in an informal setting.
- Provide educational programs to keep our membership informed of changing best practice and state-of-the-art data and telecommunications technologies.
- Inform and encourage the Central Connecticut & Western Massachusetts community at large to consider or advance their careers in areas related to Information Systems and Technology.

RLF is SIM’s leadership development program. Participants discover their own unique authentic leadership style and voice which enable them to achieve influence, power and success in their personal and professional lives. Their executive sponsors report increased effectiveness, decision making, delegation and capacity to get work done through others. RLF is in its 16th year with over 2300 graduates. |

The mission of International GMIS is to provide an organizational structure and network with associated activities, which may be used by all State, County, and Local government agencies and educational institutions which are members in order to help them in their information and automation endeavors and with associated projects and problems. www.gmis.org.

The Connecticut Technology Council is the largest and most broad based business association expressly serving the needs of enterprises involved in areas relating to technology, innovation, and the commercialization of the sciences. Representing almost 400 members and a community of some 2,500 companies and several hundred thousand employees, CTC strives to serve its members and the general interests of the State of Connecticut as they relate to the growth and success of technology based development.

Founded in 1983, the Southern New England Chapter of the Project Management Institute (SNEC-PMI) is comprised of Project Management Professionals and Practitioners from over 500 organizations across Connecticut and Western MA. BDPA was founded in 1981 by a group of dedicated African American IT professionals. The chapter was founded to improve networking opportunities and increase the technological awareness of it‘s members through educational programs. Each BDPA Chapter exists to serve its members and the community.
Our Mission:
BDPA is to bridge the digital divide in the Metro Atlanta area by providing training, support and networking opportunities to all people, technical and non-technical. Our offerings includes a high school computer competition (HSCC) training program and training for members & the community.
