Thomas Lang
Thomas Lang is currently the Senior Director of Delivery Management at Open Solutions, Inc. OSI focuses on the financial services marketplace, providing state-of-the-art industry specific products and services, providing mission critical technologies that enable clients across the globe to strengthen relationships, improve productivity, drive new revenue, and reduce training and administrative costs. Clients include some of the largest banks, credit unions, insurance providers, retailers and wealth management companies in the world.

Prior to Open Solutions, Thomas was the Director of Product Development for CheckFreePay, now part of Fiserv. His responsibilities included turnkey solution delivery for the nationwide network of independent agents, and for the implementation of a services-based solution currently processing payments for in-person customers at nearly 4000 Wal-Mart stores nationwide.

During his 20-plus years in IT, Thomas has developed a wide range of experience in various industries, including, banking, insurance, retail software, mortgage, and financial services. He spent 12 years at CheckFree in Baltimore, progressing through the traditional ranks of customer support, development, implementation services, project management and people management. From there, he moved to Connecticut to work for AMS Services, supplying software solutions to the insurance industry, including the first insurance open exchange network. This launched him into the next phase of his career, progressing through middle and senior management, including roles at leading insurance carriers, mortgage lending, and talent sourcing.

Thomas graduated from the University of Maryland with a BS in Computer Science, and minor in Mathematics, and is currently the President of the Central Connecticut Chapter of SIM. He also currently retains board positions for several non-profit organizations, including several devoted to the fine arts. He helped found a local community based network of IT leaders in 2002 that assist technology people in transition, which is still active today.
