Sean Jackson
As many who know him will tell you, Sean Jackson is first and foremost someone who really ought to know better. Nonetheless, over the past twenty years, he has designed state-of-the art Business Intelligence, GIS, and Web-based systems for organizations such as Paramount Pictures, Mattel Toys, Yale University, The Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and Amgen. In fact, he is considered by some to be an expert in the areas of project management and software development. If one were to ask him though, he would say that what he has enjoyed most during this time is building and leading the high-performing teams that have produced those systems.

In his most recent assignment as the CIO for the United Way of Connecticut (UWC), Sean and his team are responsible for the technologies that enable the nation's first and most sophisticated statewide 2-1-1 information and referral system, offering a toll free call center and Internet access to all manner of health and human services information and crisis intervention. In addition, UWC offers specialized services for child care, child development and disability needs, and the state's HUSKY health insurance program. UWC also administers the state's child care subsidy program, which helps low- to moderate-income families pay for child care costs.

Sean makes his home in the middle of the woods just outside of Hartford with his wife, daughter, son, a cat, two pet birds, and if his daughter plays her cards right and continues to refer to him as an "expert in the areas of project management and software development," two Shetland sheep, one of whom shall be named Christopher.
