Jim Bond is Managing Director of Horton International, LLC and is located in the firm's US headquarters in West Hartford, Connecticut. He has been involved in search since 1978. For much of that time, his main focus has been in the Information Technology field, assisting his clients in filling positions ranging from C- through Director levels. He also has substantial generalist search experience, managing and executing search for executive and senior management positions in such functional verticals as sales and marketing, purchasing, call center, brokerage operations, as well as senior level positions in life and health underwriting. The industries he has served range from life and property-casualty insurance, managed care, life sciences and manufacturing to financial, business and professional services firms, including Fortune 100 to start-up in size.
Prior to joining Horton International, Jim was Senior Vice President and Director of the Information Technology search practice for People Management Northeast, Inc., a management consulting company specializing in retained executive search and consulting services. He also spent nine years with an international search firm where he consistently ranked in the top five percent of performers in their worldwide staff and was named to the President's Club. Previously, Jim was part of the management team of Data Base Management, Inc., (now CGI-AMS) a high-tech consulting services firm where his responsibilities included business development, recruitment of professional staff, and account management.
Jim has an M.A. in Government and International Relations from the University of Notre Dame and a B.A. in Political Science from St. Anselm College. He has served on the Technology Committee of the Greater Hartford Chamber of Commerce as well as on the Selection Committee for the Connecticut Forum. He is an active member of the Society for Information Management, where he serves on the board of directors, and is active on the local, regional and national levels. |
