Bruce White is a professor and chair of the Information Systems Management department at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT. Professor White joined Quinnipiac in 2000. Before that, he taught at Winona State University in Minnesota and Dakota State University in South Dakota. A native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he earned his doctorate in management information systems in 1990 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
White has served as conference chair for the ISECON conference four times. He is on the board of directors for the Educational Foundation of the Institute for Certification of Computer Professionals and was one of the developers of the Center for Computer Educational Research's Information Systems Assessment test. Dr. White regularly publishes in academic journals, is on the review board for two information systems journals and has edited a special issue on assessment in the Journal of Information Systems Education. He was named to the Center of Excellence in Teaching at Quinnipiac in 2009; and was the Association of Information Technology's Information Systems Educator of the Year in 2009; and a Fellow of AITP-EDSIG in 2010. He also has been on ABET accreditation teams and was a committee chair for Quinnipiac's recent NEASC accreditation. He recently co-authored a textbook "Web 2.0 for Business: Learning the new tools". |
