Edward L. Abrams

Ed is currently the Vice President of Marketing for IBM General Business. In this role he is responsible for the marketing strategy and execution around the company's small and medium business efforts with a specific focus on driving the Express Advantage strategy and value proposition, as well as the marketing strategy and execution supporting IBMs Business Solutions strategy in the SMB space.

Prior to this role Ed was Vice President Integrated Marketing Communications for the Americas. In this role, Ed was responsible for leading a diverse team that supported IBM Americas business objectives by developing, planning, and executing go-to-market strategies and plans to build, accelerate and close business opportunity pipeline. Prior to this role, Ed was Vice President, Program Management for the Global Sales and Distribution area with responsibility for managing the Program Management process across IBM as part of the Marketing Transformation initiative, as well as marketing and demand generation across all customer sets and routes to market. Within this role, he is responsible for all Industry, ISV and Business Partner demand generation efforts.

Ed joined IBM 13 years ago and has held a number of roles within Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) and Marketing in that time. Prior to joining IBM, Ed spent 13 years in New York City in the Advertising industry with firms that include Young & Rubicam, Wells Rich Greene, Bozell Worldwide and Dentsu.

A graduate of SUNY Buffalo in 1983 with a degree in Communications and Marketing, Ed lives in Norwalk CT with his wife Suzanne and daughters Abigail and Caroline.
