Maurita "Mitty" Adler has devoted her career to Gottlieb Memorial Hospital and has held various management positions advancing in responsibility in departments including Information Systems, Medical Records and Transcription.
Currently, she is leading the transition of the Loyola University Health System at Gottlieb campus to going "paperless" in electronic medical records. She heads up a groundbreaking, multi-disciplinary team of leaders within the hospital and is spearheading the research, strategy, plan development and implementation of a multi-year comprehensive plan.
As Chief Information Officer and Chief Security Officer, Ms. Adler played a leadership role during the 2008 affiliation of Gottlieb Memorial Hospital with Loyola University Health System. She was responsible for the two hospital integration and interoperability of electronic information systems, video conferencing and e-mail systems. She also created a three-year information technology strategic plan, linking both facilities.
Loyola University Health System at Gottlieb relies upon Ms. Adler for the strategic direction, planning and leadership of information systems and medical records for Gottlieb Health Resources, an integrated health delivery system. She is also tasked with that role for key departments within Gottlieb including the hospital, home health agency, physician hospital organization (PHO) and health and fitness center.
Ms. Adler also serves on many hospital executive committees and is a leader in patient safety, physician and quality initiatives and has responsibilities for HIPAA security compliance.
In addition to the CIO Forum & Executive Summary Council, she is active in industry organizations including Chicago Healthcare CIO Group, College of Healthcare Executives and the Health Information Systems Society. She has served as Board Member for the Meditech Users Synergy Exchange (MUSE) where she also helped found regional groups.
Ms. Adler received her Master of Business Administration from Loyola University, Chicago, and her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Denison University, Granville, Ohio. She currently resides in Deerfield with her husband and children.
