John Astreides joined Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in 1996 and has spent 24 years in the Information Systems Department. He also currently serves as Emergency Management Coordinator, serving as the hospital liaison within the Loyola University Health System and representing Gottlieb with external organizations.
Currently, he provides a leadership role on the multi-disciplinary committee to lead the hospital in going "paperless" through electronic medical records at the Loyola University Health System at Gottlieb campus.
Mr. Astreides is a steering committee member for the Medical Trading Area (MTA) 12 of the State of Illinois Health Information Evaluation (HIE) Electronic Medical Record initiative for the Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare Council.
He serves as a Citizen Corporation commissioner, coordinating emergency preparedness and response activity. He also is a Certified Emergency Response Team (CERT) member for the Village of Mount Prospect.
Mr. Astreides received his Bachelor of Science in Communications from Northern Illinois University, Dekalb. He is a graduate of the Computer Career Program at DePaul University, Chicago. He lives in Mount Prospect and has one son.
