| Doug has more than 25 years of experience and in-depth knowledge of information technology, wireless industry solutions, and Internet business, and how they can transform businesses and institutions in a global economy. He has significant management experience with a particular focus on alliances and information technology. Currently, Doug is a Sr. Consultant, Wireless & Mobility Solutions, Advanced Solutions Group (ASG) for Dell Public and Large Enterprise Business Units. He is responsible for driving incremental sales of Dell business client notebooks and netbooks with embedded WWAN (Wireless Wide-Area Networks) technology through successful engagements with Dell's U.S. wireless carrier partners. During his tenure at Dell, he held similar roles driving enterprise revenue through the company's partnership with Microsoft. Prior to joining Dell in March 2002, Doug was Director, Partner Development for Data Return Corp, a leading provider of managed hosting services. Before joining Data Return Corp, he was Regional Systems Engineering Manager for Compaq Computer Corp (now Hewlett Packard). He also held various Information Technology positions for Frito-Lay, Inc., United Technologies Mostek, and J.C. Penney Life Insurance Co. Doug earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Computer Information Systems from the University of North Texas. Outside of work, Doug enjoys spending time with Kelley, his wife, and his two children, Arden (7) and Reid (10). He is also fond of playing ice hockey, boating, and water/snow skiing. |
