OPENING KEYNOTE - "DRIVING THE VALUE OF SOA"
Presented by: Rob High, Software Chief Architect, IBM
Discussion: Use of SOA has bifurcated. For some the utility of SOA has become to encapsulate and normalize the integration of information systems. In some sense, SOA has become for those people a more structured approach to systems engineering. For others, SOA has yielded much more substantial advantages. That is, SOA has as its core principle the idea that information systems can drive higher levels of business agility and optimization around achieving key business outcomes. By focusing on the right services and engineering those services to have applicability in a variety of use cases we can produce applications much faster, and design those applications enable the business to respond to market forces at the speed at which they surface in the market place. This talk will focus on how distinguish the different approaches to SOA, and how to leverage your investment in SOA to drive more value to your business.

LUNCHEON KEYNOTE - “HOW SUCCESSFUL CLOUD, MOBILE AND OTHER APPLICATION STRATEGIES ARE DRIVEN BY THE END-USER EXPERIENCE”
Presented by: Matthew Poepsel, VP Performance Strategies, Compuware
Discussion: Business and technology landscapes are due to globalization, cloud computing, mobility, application delivery “ecosystems”, and other new developments. These trends are increasing the need for organizations to utilize a framework that maximizes their awareness of performance and optimization. This approach assists in shaping cloud, mobile and other application strategies within the organization.

With the number of smartphones currently being used, it is no surprise that research indicates mobile devices will soon outnumber personal computers on the Internet. This movement brings with it end users who demand that their mobile experience equals – or, frankly, exceeds – that of traditional web applications. That means each business needs to develop a mobile and cloud strategy that will meet these demanding, dynamic and critical customer expectations. The goal must be to provide an exceptional experience for every user, every time. We will, in conjunction with our customers, detail how a well-defined cloud and mobile strategy can positively impact your end-user experience, and in turn, your business success today and into the future.
