Mr. Sawant joined Lance as the CIO in 2007. Lance, headquartered in Charlotte, NC manufactures and markets snack foods throughout most of the United States and other parts of North America. Mr. Sawant is responsible for Shared Services which includes Information Technology, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Payroll, Taxation (Property, Sales and Use Tax) and Records Management. He is responsible for information technology strategy, execution and aligning the technology resources with the business strategy. Since joining Lance, he has been instrumental in getting Lance on a common Oracle ERP system for all of their US operations. Mr. Sawant received his Masters degree in Computer Science from Bombay University, India. Prior to joining Lance, he has worked in the United Kingdom, Germany and India. He is a board member of the Mid-Atlantic chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Mr. Sawant is married with two daughters and lives in Charlotte.
