Ed Sammis is Vice President, Business Integration - North America. He is the geography executive responsible for supporting the BT/IT requirements of the North American employee population. This role functions as the liaison between the global CIO organization and the North American users, ensuring requirements are represented and prioritized, and that solutions are successfully deployed and adopted. He is also responsible for IT financial management and employee satisfaction with IBM's IT solutions within the geography.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Sammis was the global integration executive for IBM's acquisition of Internet Security Systems (ISS). He was responsible for the integration of ISS into IBM Global Services and the achievement of the acquisition business case. The integration project was comprised of 34 functional workstreams, with operations in all major geographies, supporting the transition of 1500 employees and a $350M annual business. He previously led the IBM acquisition integration of a 1300 employee IT consulting and services company in Canada, with HQ in Montreal and field operations in all major Canadian cities.

Mr. Sammis has over 25 years of information technology industry experience, including management positions with IBM in Acquisition Integration, Business Process Outsourcing, Systems Integration, Professional Services, and Sales and Marketing. He has project experience across a number of industries, including government, consumer electronics, insurance, and financial services, with expertise centered on business process analysis and the application of emerging technologies aimed at enhancing business productivity and delivering competitive advantage.

Mr. Sammis holds a BS in chemical engineering from Clarkson University, and currently resides in the Hudson Valley area of NY with his wife and 2 children.
