Dennis Daniel has over 25 years of experience in computing systems and information technology. His specialties include business computing platforms, security architectures and management, IT Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), project management, and management consulting. He also has extensive experience in the initiation, startup, and operation of information technology consulting services organizations. Dennis is currently employed as a IT management consultant.

In his position last position Vice President of Information Technology Services and a corporate officer for North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company, Dennis was responsible for all aspects of the company's information technology and systems, directing the use of IT in support of business goals and objectives, and aligning the information technology deployment strategy with business strategy. Dennis has spent much of his career in information technology consulting organizations and a variety of major companies, including IBM, Bell Atlantic, State of North Carolina Criminal Justice Information Network, Western Electric/AT&T, North Carolina State University, Lockwood-Green, CSX/Sea-Land Service, Carolina Power and Light (Progress Energy), Litton/Hugin-Sweda International, and Global Knowledge. His has held a variety of positions including Technical Infrastructure Consultant, Senior Consultant, Business Development Manager, Systems Engineer, Systems Project Manager, Practice Leader, Practice Manager, Director of Engineering, Senior Partner and President. Dennis holds variety of technical, management and industry certifications, including the "Certified Information Systems Auditor, CISA", "Certified Information Security Manager, CISM" and "Certified Computer Professional, CCP" designations.

Dennis holds membership in professional and industry related organizations, including the Society for Information Management (SIM), the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Black Data Processors Association (BDPA), and the Computer Security Institute (CSI). Dennis has served on the board of a number of technology related associations, including the Society for Information Management (SIM - Board of Directors, President and Program Chair), and the International Association of Microsoft Certified Partners (IAMCP), serving as president of the local RTP chapter, and on the IAMCP international board of directors, as chair of the Membership Committee, Vice-President, and President-Elect.

Dennis is a North Carolina and Granville County native, and was educated in the Granville county school system. He is North Carolina State University alumnus, attended Columbia University and Trinity University and holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science. He is active in his community through family, church, civic and youth recreation organizations. Dennis is married and resides in Creedmoor, NC with his wife and three children.
